Arise and Shine Maize Millers Ltd is a private registered company dealing in agricultural produce. It was established in 2005, registered and incorporated in 2011 under Reg. No. 136057. The company has its head office and milling factory in Kawempe, Wakiso District.

The company started with the aim of milling and producing grade 1 quality of maize flour and this has been its trade mark throughout the time. This realization came out of a simple study of the demands from the domestic market which indicated that the market was not being served according to its demand but by what was available from the few inadequate maize millers. Arise and Shine Maize Millers then responded to this by concentrating on milling 1st grade maize flour that has now made the company synonymous with grade 1 quality maize flour in the market throughout the country.

Since 2016, Arise and Shine Maize Millers established links with maize farmers in Oyam, Kiryandongo and Masindi district through Cooperative Enterprises (ACEs) to tap into the already existing organizations and memberships that would generate the grain in adequate quantities. To date, Arise and Shine is working with over 10,000 farmers through contract farming, and Long Term Assurances, to support sustainable maize production and trade. This we believe can change economics of the rural farmers and encourage commercial farming
